Commonly found throughout New England and the midwest, maple is often found in agrarian buildings. Bright, blonde and full of character, maple will take on its own unique character as it ages, including warm tones, insect scarring, distressing and Spalding, a process that happens in Maple. Some of its characteristics include: color and grain variations, knots, saw kerf, light distressing, nail holes and other natural and man-made markings.
