This gorgeous converted barn, overlooking Muscongus Bay, is a showcase of vintage lumber and unique architectural design. Rousseau Reclaimed sourced barn board for the ceiling beams, and the cotton mill oak, threshing floor pine and antique white pine for the floors. John Rousseau salvaged the oak timbers from a defunct cotton mill in Tennessee and shipped them to his shop in South Portland.
A century-old barn was recently moved and restored as part of a family summer compound near the Sheepscot River. Rousseau Reclaimed sourced lumber for stair risers from the ground floor to the second floor, and in the sleeping loft.
